Our client is seeking an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join their team in Luton, Bedfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to join a well-regarded team with an existing caseload available from a departing solicitor. The successful candidate will manage a varied publicly funded child care caseload while undertaking advocacy and contributing to the continued growth and development of the department. The role offers a hybrid working model combining home, office, and court attendance. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a varied caseload of publicly funded child care matters independently, • Advise and represent parents, family members, and children in care proceedings and related family matters, • Handle Legal Aid matters and manage CCMS procedures efficiently, • Undertake advocacy at court hearings where required, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system, • Conduct regular file reviews and ensure compliance with firm and regulatory procedures, • Progress matters efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care, • Submit interim payments and billing claims to the Legal Aid Agency where appropriate, • Interview and advise clients sensitively and professionally, • Provide practical and clear legal advice throughout all stages of proceedings, • Maintain strong relationships with clients and third parties, • Keep up to date with developments in child care and family law, • Participate in networking and business development activities, • Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the department Requirements / Skills / Experience: • Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate, • Accredited Law Society Children Panel Member, • Minimum 2–3 years PQE in Child Care / Family Law, • Strong experience managing own caseload independently, • Working knowledge of the CCMS portal and Legal Aid procedures, • Advocacy experience, • Excellent organisational and communication skills Package / Benefits: • Competitive market-rate salary depending on experience, • Hybrid working model (home, office, and court attendance), • Established and supportive department, • Existing caseload available, • Long-term progression opportunities Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.
