Job Overview We are recruiting a Sous Chef to support the daily operations of our kitchen. The role involves assisting the Head Chef, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring consistent standards in food preparation, hygiene, and service. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, • Supervise, support, and train kitchen staff, • Prepare and cook dishes following established recipes, • Contribute to menu development and daily specials, • Maintain consistent quality, portion control, and presentation, • Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations, • Manage food production schedules during busy periods, • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and manage stock rotation, • Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role, • Ability to supervise and guide kitchen staff, • Strong cooking and food preparation skills, • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, • Good communication and teamwork skills, • Salary: £32,000–£33,000 per year (depending on experience), • Contract: Permanent, full-time, • Additional Pay: Performance-related bonus, • Benefits: Staff meals or discounts, employee discount scheme, • Other Benefits: Holiday entitlement, pension scheme, and standard company benefits, • Supportive and well-organised kitchen environment, • Opportunities for career progression, • Established and diverse workplace
