Role Overview As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional dining experiences while driving sales, profitability, and team performance. You'll lead by example, inspire your team to achieve high service standards, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking to progress their leadership career within a people-focused hotel group. Main Responsibilities • Support the Restaurant Manager in delivering outstanding guest experiences and achieving departmental goals., • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the restaurant team to deliver exceptional service standards., • Monitor business levels and proactively plan resources to ensure seamless operations during busy periods., • Conduct effective pre-service and post-service briefings to drive engagement and operational excellence., • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance are maintained throughout the restaurant., • Actively manage guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience., • Support stock control, inventory management, and departmental cost control procedures., • Assist with payroll forecasting, rota management, and achieving budgeted financial targets., • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hotel to maximise sales opportunities and drive revenue growth., • Deputise for the Restaurant Manager and act as Hotel Duty Manager when required. About You You're a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to success. You have a genuine commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences and take pride in creating a positive, engaging atmosphere for both guests and colleagues. With strong operational knowledge and excellent people skills, you're confident taking ownership, developing others, and contributing to the success of the restaurant. • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or in a similar leadership role., • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and service excellence., • Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams., • Previous rota planning and labour management experience., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills., • Commercial awareness with an understanding of budgets and departmental performance., • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to effectively manage guest feedback and resolve issues professionally., • Confident using hospitality systems and Microsoft Office applications. It is fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Role Overview: To drive and manage conference, events and group sales and confirmed bookings, ensuring exceptional service delivery from enquiry to execution. Key support to the GCE Manager, this role plays a key part in maximising revenue, efficient coordination, and outstanding client relationship management while delivering exceptional client experiences across all conference and event spaces. Specific Tasks • Support the GCE Manager with the day-to-day leadership, development and performance of the Events & Groups team., • Convert group, meeting and event enquiries into confirmed bookings, maximising revenue opportunities across bedrooms, meeting rooms and event spaces., • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, leisure and agency clients to drive repeat business and customer loyalty., • Conduct client meetings and site visits, showcasing hotel facilities and services to secure new business., • Coordinate event requirements with operational departments to ensure seamless delivery and an exceptional guest experience., • Prepare and manage function sheets, ensuring all event details and client requirements are communicated accurately., • Attend and support events as required, proactively resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction., • Maintain accurate booking, client and event records within hotel systems and databases., • Produce reports on sales performance, booking trends and customer feedback to support business decision-making., • Monitor team productivity and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service standards.
