Further is building the future of fund administration. We’re looking for someone ambitious who wants to help build the company that defines this category. About Further Further builds cutting-edge, AI-enabled software for fund administration. This is a part of financial infrastructure that matters enormously, but has historically been underserved. The workflows are complex, high-stakes and detail-heavy. Most of the market still relies on manual processes, spreadsheets, fragmented tools and service-led solutions that do not scale well. Further is changing that, with a highly automated, category-defining product that manages the full investment lifecycle under one roof. From onboarding through to final distribution, Further is the central touchpoint for fund managers, investors and other third parties, turning complex processes into a simple, unified user experience. Further operates across two verticals: EIS and LP-GP funds. Our EIS product is the market leader in its space and is loved by users. Our LP-GP product launched recently, materially expanding our opportunity, and early reception has been strong. Our team and its ethos We believe the best people attract the best people. Further is a small team of high-calibre builders with open minds, deep individual expertise and high standards. We hire deliberately, focusing on talent, personal drive and individual accountability. We are not a training ground: our team is made of experts working together to build something an order of magnitude better than what existed before Further. We’re a team of quality over quantity, and we can guarantee that being a part of Further will be an enriching and interesting opportunity for you - likely the most fruitful and rewarding part of your career. In this role, you can expect a highly meritocratic and ideas-focused environment. The team is driven, works at pace, has an open-mind to new ideas, and we are early adopters of new technology, including new AI products as they release (ditching them swiftly if they turn out not to be up to scratch!!). This role is significant because it will be our first non-founder generalist hire. You will work directly with the co-founders and have real influence on how the business operates and scales. Your role as Founder’s Associate Your work will span several areas. Product The central part of any software business at our stage is the product function - this is what we are selling, so this is the business. At Further, we care deeply about product excellence. We aim to build software that is holistic, delivers the most efficient outcomes for clients, and feels effortless to use — all within a product that is elegant, intuitive and well designed. So far, that has come from the founders being highly hands-on in product: staying close to end users, developing a deep understanding of the problem space, and using both to shape what gets built. We believe that is how the best software companies are built. You will become part of that process. You should have strong instincts for user experience, high standards for quality, and the ability to think clearly about planning, prioritisation and product direction. Sales and clients You will be involved across the client lifecycle, from sales through to ongoing client work. That will include supporting commercial conversations, helping move deals forward, keeping the CRM in good order, improving how we manage pipeline, and working directly with clients as they onboard and use the product. You will often be the bridge between what clients need, what the product does today, and what the team should build next. Operating the business As a small company, there is always important work that does not sit neatly in one box. You will help founders scale the business by taking on operational problems, improving processes as we grow, following things through properly, and making sure good ideas turn into executed reality. Over time, you will also help with future hiring. This is a generalist role in the real sense: if it matters to Further, it may become part of your remit. How the role develops In the beginning, the focus is straightforward: learn the business quickly, take ownership of real work, and free up the founders. If you are excellent, your scope will increase quickly. The route to major responsibility here is the same as it is for founders themselves: doing the hard work well, earning trust, and showing consistently strong judgment. That could mean owning larger projects, overseeing a key area of the business in the C-suite and launching and running a new vertical or business unit within Further. Who we are looking for We are looking for someone who could plausibly found their own software business in the future, but wants to spend the next chapter helping build Further from the inside. You should be: • highly intelligent, inquisitive and quick to learn, • able to get to grips with a complex domain fast, • exceptionally detail-oriented, • entrepreneurial in temperament, • driven, dogged and hard to knock off course, • comfortable operating in ambiguity, • willing to take responsibility rather than wait for instructions, • prepared to put in a real shift at work, but have fun while you do it, • able to keep up in a fast-paced environment, having experienced one before, • willing to learn - there are a load of opportunities out there for us and to find them we need to keep learning about the industry You might be: • an early employee at a strong startup, • someone who came close to starting a company, • a former founder, • an unusually strong graduate with real evidence of pace, initiative and commercial instinct We are much more interested in raw quality, ownership and pace than in a neat conventional background. What you can expect from Further • Very competitive remuneration. The scope of who we are looking for is wide, but the range would be between £50-90k depending on experience., • Hybrid - London based, with 2-3 day off-sites held abroad twice a year (we’re all off to Ibiza in May☀️)., • Private healthcare (for UK-based employees)., • Company laptop (of course).
