A good understanding of the Housing Act 1985, including the management of secure tenancies. A good understanding of the Homelessness Code of Guidance for Local Authorities. Experience applying structured problem-solving techniques to complex and sensitive cases. Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess evidence in line with civil procedural rules. Proven experience of preparing complex legal casework and attending court to present cases. Experience influencing partners and stakeholders to deliver joined-up services for local communities. Strong operational knowledge of housing, anti-social behaviour, crime prevention and community safety. Experience working with vulnerable individuals and challenging customers in a professional and positive manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience representing the council at public meetings and delivering presentations. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
