We re looking for a caring and motivated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the CF24 area of Cardiff. About the Role: This is a full-time position , working Monday to Friday, 8:30am 3:30pm during term time. You ll be supporting the nursery class teacher in creating a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. The role involves working closely with small groups and individual pupils, supporting early language, literacy, and play-based learning, as well as assisting with daily routines, personal care, and classroom organisation. The successful candidate will be hands-on, confident, and enthusiastic , with a real passion for supporting children in their formative years. You ll need to be able to build positive relationships , follow instructions while using your own initiative, and maintain structure and boundaries within a busy and lively classroom. What We re Looking For: A relevant Nursery or Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above preferred), or substantial hands-on experience within a nursery or early years setting. A proactive, engaging, and confident approach , able to adapt quickly and contribute from day one. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a supportive, dedicated team. A genuine passion for helping young children learn, develop, and thrive. An understanding of early childhood development, play-based learning, and safeguarding.
