As Head of Delivery, you'll be accountable for defining and executing the IOS delivery strategy, ensuring the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects across Anglian Water. Reporting to the IOS Delivery Director, you'll provide strategic leadership across delivery operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and in line with regulatory and business objectives. You'll lead a team of Programme and Senior Programme Managers, whilst providing broader functional leadership across internal teams, alliance partners and supply chain organisations. This is a role that combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, requiring a leader who can balance customer outcomes, commercial performance, governance, safety and delivery results. • Lead a High-Performing Delivery Function, • Set the strategic direction for programme delivery across IOS, • Lead a complex portfolio of operational, infrastructure and transformation programmes, • Build and develop a high-performing delivery organisation capable of delivering at scale, • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, • Drive delivery excellence across Anglian Water, alliance partners and supply chain teams, • Deliver Major Programmes Successfully, • Take full accountability for portfolio performance across cost, schedule, quality, safety and customer outcomes, • Ensure robust governance, controls and assurance frameworks are in place, • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, challenges and constraints, • Drive recovery plans where required to maintain delivery commitments, • Lead strategic programme reviews and performance discussions, • Shape Delivery Strategy, • Define and implement the IOS delivery strategy, • Translate business objectives into clear delivery plans and measurable outcomes, • Own the operating model that enables effective and efficient programme delivery, • Ensure investments, resources and priorities are aligned to business needs, • Champion innovation, continuous improvement and industry best practice, • Influence at the Highest Levels, • Represent IOS at senior governance and executive forums, • Act as deputy to the IOS Delivery Director when required, • Build strong relationships across Anglian Water, regulators, alliance partners and industry stakeholders, • Provide strategic challenge, insight and assurance to senior decision-makers, • Be a visible ambassador for IOS and delivery excellence Safety First, Always At Anglian Water, nothing is more important than the safety and wellbeing of our people. We're looking for an experienced programme delivery leader with a track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex infrastructure or operational portfolios. • Senior leadership experience delivering complex infrastructure programmes and major capital projects, • Experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-organisation delivery teams, • Proven ability to lead large programme portfolios with significant budgets and strategic importance, • Experience engaging and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders, • Professional qualification and significant experience within engineering, programme management, infrastructure delivery or a related discipline, • Strategic programme and portfolio management, • Commercial and financial leadership, • Governance, risk and performance management, • Strong project controls expertise including cost, schedule and risk management, • Leadership, coaching and talent development, • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, • Sound judgement and decision-making capability, • Ability to challenge constructively and drive innovation, • Strong planning, prioritisation and delivery focus, • Chartered status and/or APM Chartership, • NEC contract experience or qualifications, • Water utility or regulated industry experience, • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, • Flexible working options, • Private healthcare, • Competitive pension scheme with double-matched contributions up to 7%, • Life assurance at eight times your salary, • Annual performance bonus, • Car allowance, • Personal medical assessments, • Virtual GP service We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong.
