About the Role As a Residential Support Worker at Spire Assist, you will provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and practical guidance to young people in a residential environment. This role involves direct contact with children and young people who may have experienced trauma or have complex needs. Good written skills and basic IT literacy for record-keeping and reporting are required, along with an understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries. Calm, confident de-escalation skills and the ability to follow behavior management plans are crucial. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar residential or supported setting working with children or young people. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK. Desirable: Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Health & Social Care or NVQ Level 3 for Residential Childcare or equivalent (or working towards it). Training or experience in trauma-informed practice, autism/ADHD awareness, positive behavior support, and first aid.
