Pertemps are working with our public sector client to recruit Business Support Administrator on a temporary basis.\n\n Role: Business Support Administrator\n Location: Hybrid (Edinburgh)\n Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 36 hours\n Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour\n Duration: Temporary ongoing\n Start Date: ASAP\n\n Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and confident capturing information accurately? We’re looking for Business Support Administrators, with a strong focus on minute taking, to support essential services across the organisation.\n\n This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure check, to be completed following confirmation of acceptance, at a cost of £25 to the successful candidate.\n\nAbout the Role\n This role is primarily focused on professional minute taking within statutory meetings.\n You’ll play a key part in supporting high-level, multi-agency meetings—such as child and adult protection conferences—where accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality are critical. Your notes may be used in formal and legal contexts, so quality and precision are essential.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nAttending statutory meetings and producing clear, accurate, and professional minutes\nCapturing complex discussions and summarising key decisions and actions\nOrganising and coordinating meetings, including scheduling and logistics\nPreparing and distributing agendas and supporting documentation\nLiaising with professionals across services (e.g. health, police, legal and social work)\nHandling sensitive and confidential information appropriately\nActing as a first point of contact for meeting-related enquiries\nUpdating systems and maintaining accurate records\nSupporting wider administrative tasks as requiredYou’ll thrive in this role if you’re:\n\nExperienced in minute taking, particularly in complex or formal settings (Essential)\nHighly organised with exceptional attention to detail\nA strong listener, able to accurately capture and summarise discussions\nConfident working with sensitive and sometimes emotional subject matter\nSkilled in written communication, producing clear and professional documentation\nAble to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively\nComfortable using Microsoft Office and administrative systems\nPrevious administrative and minute taking experience is essential.Why Apply?\n\nDevelop specialist experience in high-level minute taking\nBe part of a role that directly supports important safeguarding and statutory processes\nWork within a supportive and collaborative team environment\nGain valuable experience in a public sector settingApply today directly via this advert if you have strong minute taking skills and are ready to take on a rewarding and responsible role
