The Role We are seeking a proactive and organised Legal Secretary to provide high-quality administrative support to our Corporate partners and fee earners. You will play a vital role in enabling our lawyers to focus on fee-earning, client management, and business development, while acting as a first point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior legal secretarial experience who thrives in a busy professional services environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities • Full diary management including scheduling meetings, travel, calls, and lunches, liaising effectively with internal and external contacts, • Build and maintain strong client relationships on behalf of the team, • Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and professional presentation, • Support fee earners with meeting preparation, pitches, and presentations, • Manage incoming post, emails, and phone calls in fee earners’ absence, • Maintain and update client records in the firm’s CRM system, • Produce financial reports, assist with dashboards, and track expenses, • Organise team events and support cross-office collaboration, • Travel between office locations as required to support business needs Who We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate will have: • Proven legal secretarial experience, • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone manner, • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and client care, • IT competence, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with BigHand or Peppermint is desirable but not essential, • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach, willing to “go the extra mile” Why Join Cripps? • Be part of a high-performing, supportive corporate team working on exciting and complex client matters, • Opportunities for career development and professional growth, • Work in a collaborative culture that values your contribution and invests in your success, • Make a real impact in a prestigious law firm with a client-first approach
