Store Manager - Burnley Area Locations covered: Accrington, Burnley Active Way, Bacup, Clitheroe, Todmorden, Burnley Todmorden Road, Rawtenstall Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 or 45 hours per week (including weekends) Will consider 32, 36 hr contracts also. Salary: £52,910 raising to £69,000 over your length of service. Role Overview As a Store Manager, you'll run a fast‑paced, multi‑million‑pound store operation and lead a high‑performing team. You'll bring energy, resilience, and strong leadership skills to create a culture built on high standards, teamwork, and excellent customer service. This is a hands‑on role where your leadership sets the tone for the store. You will be allocated a primary store within the Burnley Area cluster but will also be expected to cover other stores within the region during holidays, sickness, and peak retail periods. Key Responsibilities Store Operations Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the store, maintaining high operational and merchandising standards. Manage stock levels, deliveries, ordering, scheduling and ensure operational efficiency. Carry out till checks, compliance routines, and store audits to company standards. People Leadership & Team Development Lead, inspire, and develop a team to deliver exceptional results. Support the well being, motivation, and performance of colleagues. Foster a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute. Customer Service Ensure your store consistently provides friendly, efficient, and high‑quality customer service. Resolve customer queries professionally and confidently. Financial & Performance Accountability Drive sales while effectively managing costs and maximising operational efficiency. Achieve performance targets through strong planning, analysis, and decision‑making. Multi‑Site Support Provide leadership cover across other local stores during: Annual leave Sickness Peak trading periods Maintain strong productivity and service consistency across the cluster. What You'll Need Proven experience in leading teams in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Strong people‑management, communication and organisational skills.
