You'll play a vital role in ensuring our precision-engineered products reach customers efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nThis is your opportunity to take ownership of a pivotal function within a growing, innovative business - where your ideas will have a direct impact on performance, profitability, and future growth.\n\nAs Purchasing Manager, typical responsibilities will be to: -\n\nLead and design purchasing and supply chain strategies that support aerospace operations.\nBuild and maintain strong supplier partnerships - negotiating terms and ensuring top-tier performance.\nLead and develop a team of three.\nForecast market trends, pricing, and demand to drive smart, data-led decisions.\nOptimise stock levels, streamline inventory systems, and ensure seamless material flow across production.\nCollaborate with Sales and Finance to balance cost, quality, and availability across the business.\nIdentify opportunities for efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement.The Purchasing Manager will be commercially sharp, strategically focused, and ready to lead from the front. You will know what great looks like in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and thrive on creating value through smart procurement and supplier excellence.\n\nThe successful candidate will: -\n\nHave experience in a purchasing or supply chain role within manufacturing - aerospace experience is a strong advantage.\nBe experienced in vendor management and supplier performance improvement.\nStrong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.\nHave MCIPS or be working towards.\nHave experience implementing systems that improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.On offer: -\n\n4-day working week - because productivity and work-life balance can go hand in hand.\nSalary to £60,000\nCompany car\n22.5 days holiday + bank holidays - increasing by 3 days with service\nExcellent matched pension scheme\nHealth & wellbeing initiatives\nContinuous professional development & support for MCIPS\nFlexible holiday scheme (buy/sell up to one week)Interested?
