Job Description Summary: The Director of Human Resources for the US and Mexico is a member of the leadership team and directly responsible for the administration of the Human Resources Department, managing people relations with the US and Mexico organizations and across all business sites; aligning human capital strategies with ANA (affiliates) company priorities and aC initiatives. The Director of Human Resources is also responsible for Safety and Training. Essential Functions: Vision • Responsible for maintaining a strategic direction for human resources and safety., • Develops and maintains accountability for processes to keep the companies in compliance., • Create, execute and maintain a succession plan for all leadership and critical to fill positions., • Build community partnerships with other employers., • Research and implement solutions to an ever-changing benefits environment., • Organize and manage top tier Safety programs., • Implement competitive Compensation Program., • Oversee Professional Development program., • Understands that duties, responsibilities and priorities may change in alignment with business objectives., • Handles sensitive and confidential matters in a timely fashion exhibiting high ethics, critical listening and professional attitude. Payroll • Manage Payroll Specialist- HR Generalist, • Audit Payroll/ Process/Edits for each period Employee Relations/Performance Management • Assist with the flow of communication between employees, and leadership., • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on employment matters., • Leads executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program., • Administers the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity across organizations., • Responsible for the ordering and posting of all Labor Law posters for each location., • Conducts all employee relations investigations., • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations and related business issues., • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO/Presidents, on employment matters., • Develops and maintains a Human Resource information system that meets the organization's human capital information needs. Benefits • Manages the Company’s benefits program such as life, health, dental and disability insurances and employee assistance program. Identifies opportunities, evaluates options, recommends solutions and implements benefit programs for the Company. Manages the communications process related to the employee benefits’ programs., • Promotes employee safety, wellness and health, including managing health benefits, wellness and compensation programs for annual renewal., • Manages the Company’s compensation program, including, responding to salary surveys, conducting internal job studies, evaluating, recommending grade level assignments, identifying, and correcting internal equity issues., • Coordinate Annual Open Enrollment Meeting & follow-up., • Assist newly eligible employees with insurance registration., • Set up insurance deductions., • Submit and track COBRA., • Complete all necessary compliance recording and reporting., • Provide recommendations for updating benefits. Talent Acquisition • Manages the recruitment/staffing process for the companies. Sources, screens and interviews candidates. Manages the selection process, ensuring legal compliance in the process., • Oversees the effective orientation of new employees. Develops and delivers a comprehensive new employee orientation program, effectively providing new employees with vital information pertaining to policies, procedures, benefits and payroll. Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the orientation program to ensure that it remains effective and fosters a positive attitude toward all the companies’ goals., • Supports Global onboarding method that empowers employees with self-service tools and training materials., • Annual review and update of current job descriptions. Develop new job descriptions based on business needs., • Posting of open positions to top Job Boards., • Draft Offer Letters and send to final candidates., • Assist with the electronic distribution of new hire paperwork. Compliance • Perform the role of Compliance Leader and report to Compliance Supervisor, as designated by AC HQ., • Leads the task team to tackle critical incident, including Level S incident, for the process of review, root cause analysis, and preventative countermeasure building., • Updates and manages HR or associated policies in timely fashions., • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices., • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation, and ensures organization's federal, state, local and international compliance., • Communicates changes in the organization's employee policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed., • Audit workforce for compliance with rules, • Maintain CSR requirements Training • Develops and manages companywide training programs and online system., • Recommends, evaluates, develops, presents and participates in staff development for the organization. Metrics/Strategic • Aligns with ANA (affiliates) business strategies, supports profitability, adheres to an annual department budget, and prepares metrics for the CEO/Presidents and CFO., • Prepares HR data and metrics for on-going department, management and board meetings., • Conducts exit interviews to determine trends, reasons for separations, and turnover. Other • Develops and leads the activity to have more attractive work environment for employees., • Provides HR representation at events., • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities., • Oversees the planning and execution of employee communications and employee events and activities. Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages HR Generalist and other personnel designated by President (i.e. QA Manager/Representative). Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. General Requirements: • Excellent understanding of all facets of human resources, training, and safety., • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization., • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills., • Strong knowledge of project management principles., • Ability to foresee possible issues related to human capital and proactively resolve or make recommendations of path forward to resolve., • While performing this position, the employee will regularly be required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard., • Must have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours determined by supervisor and business needs. Travel: • Occasional overnight travel will be required., • Site visits to all US locations must be conducted at least quarterly., • Site visits to all Mexico locations must be conducted a minimum of two - three times annually. Required Education and Experience: • Must possess a High School Diploma., • Must have a Bachelor's degree and 7 to 10 years' related experience in Human Resources., • Master’s Degree and 10 years Human Resources experience preferred., • SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP Certification a plus.
