Job Description Holy Spirit Catholic School, a vibrant ministry of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven School Counselor or Social Worker to serve as a key member of our educational and pastoral team. This individual will collaborate closely with students, families, and staff to support spiritual, social-emotional, and academic growth. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic professional, preferably bilingual in English and Spanish, with a heart for Catholic education and community outreach. Qualifications: • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (preferred), • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana, • Practicing Catholic in good standing, • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred), • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, • Deep commitment to Catholic values and holistic student development Key Responsibilities: • Oversee, monitor, and develop individualized success plans for students exhibiting chronic absenteeism, fostering academic and spiritual renewal., • Train, model, and lead implementation of Conscious Discipline across the school, cultivating a peaceful and emotionally intelligent learning environment rooted in Gospel values., • Lead the "Too Good For Drugs/Violence" programming with grades 6 - 8., • Lead the school's Ambassadors Program, forming student leaders in faith, service, and character., • Design, organize, and oversee Parent Meetings focused on relevant educational and formation topics, building strong school-home partnerships., • Implement the RAMp-Up (MTSS) intervention process for recommended students, ensuring targeted and effective support aligned with their needs., • Stay current on and share best practices in brain research and social-emotional learning, incorporating findings into support for staff, children and families., • Lead the 21st Century Scholars and College & Career Readiness (CCR) Program at Holy Spirit, guiding families through the application process and supporting future success., • Serve on the Crisis Management Team alongside the Administrative Leadership Team (ALT), providing expertise and pastoral care in moments of school-wide need., • Implement and oversee comprehensive Bullying Prevention programs, policies, and strategies to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students., • Co-lead Staff Wellness training and initiatives with the principal, fostering a culture of care and mutual support within our Catholic school community., • Coordinate the annual Senior Mass for alumni now graduating high school, celebrating their continued journey in faith and achievement., • Provide outreach and represent Holy Spirit Church and School in the wider community, building partnerships that support our shared mission to serve children and families in love and dignity., • Assist in ways designated by the principal.
