Position: Formulation Technician Location: Sunnyvale, CA, 94085 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Shift: Monday to Friday 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM Pay Rate: $20.00 to $23.00/hr. Summary: • The Media Process Technician I / Formulation Technician I will work within a team to manufacture dehydrated and liquid cell culture media., • The technician will follow batch record instructions, weigh raw materials from micrograms to kilograms, calibrate equipment, operate milling equipment, perform sterile filtration, and conduct standard product testing such as osmolality, pH, and turbidity., • The role involves collaboration with R&D, procurement, quality, process technology, marketing, and both internal and external customers and vendors. Responsibilities • Stage and compound raw materials within weight tolerances (micrograms to kilograms)., • Operate milling, blending, and aseptic liquid filling equipment., • Monitor and document process control procedures for manufacturing dehydrated and liquid media per GMP and departmental guidelines., • Complete all required documentation neatly, accurately, and in accordance with GMP., • Perform cleaning, inspection, calibration, and assist in equipment maintenance; maintain related logs and records., • Troubleshoot equipment as needed., • Handle raw materials in compliance with GMP and safety requirements., • Use laboratory equipment such as pipettors, balances, osmometers, turbidimeters, and pH meters., • Perform tasks safely to ensure an injury- and incident-free workplace., • Follow through on assigned responsibilities under supervision., • Promote a positive team environment through communication and engagement., • Work overtime as required., • Perform other duties as assigned to support business goals. Required Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field, • A minimum of 6 months hands-on experience in a high-paced chemistry laboratory or manufacturing environment., • Experience with statistical analysis using mathematical spreadsheets such as Excel or Minitab., • Ability to read, write, and follow testing and inspection procedures., • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills., • Mechanical aptitude with ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment., • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team., • Flexibility with work schedules, including overtime., • Continuous attention to detail and focus., • Basic experience in weighing multiple components., • Basic proficiency with PCs and Windows applications (MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)., • Ability to lift or move approximately 40 lbs.
