Position Summary: SUMMARY The Associate, Configuration Management I supports the control, release, and maintenance of engineering drawings, technical documents, product data, and configuration records in accordance with customer, contractual, and program requirements. This position works closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and other functional teams to ensure configuration data is accurate, complete, traceable, and properly controlled throughout the product and program lifecycles. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with technical data and cross-functional teams. RESPONSIBILITIES • Review engineering release packages and program documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established procedures., • Process the release and revision of engineering drawings, parts lists, specifications, procedures, and other technical documents., • Verify document numbers, revision levels, titles, approval records, change descriptions, and other required information before release., • Maintain engineering documents, configuration records, change records, and release histories in approved repositories and business systems., • Facilitate and track engineering requests, including part, document, drawing, and change notice number assignments; document checkouts; change requests; and release-related support., • Assist with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and other configuration change documentation., • Enter and maintain part, document, revision, and product structure data in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and document management systems., • Compare information across drawings, parts lists, change forms, and system records to identify discrepancies., • Coordinate with document originators to resolve missing, incomplete, or inconsistent release information., • Support configuration status accounting, document retrieval, audit preparation, and records requests., • Assist with configuration baseline identification, verification, and data reconciliation activities., • Serve as the primary point of contact for program technical data, guiding content creators and ensuring data is properly identified, marked, reviewed, approved, released, distributed, and retained in accordance with established requirements., • Follow company requirements for quality, records retention, proprietary information, and export-controlled technical data., • Perform administrative tasks supporting configuration management and document control operations, including data entry, request tracking, record maintenance, document filing, status reporting, and meeting coordination., • Support continuous improvement of configuration management processes, forms, templates, and work instructions., • Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree with zero to two years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years of related experience is required., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy., • Ability to follow documented processes and manage multiple priorities., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to review and compare detailed information across multiple documents and systems., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook., • Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering and other cross-functional teams., • U.S. citizenship is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Prior work experience in an aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated environment., • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, parts lists, specifications, and other technical documentation., • Working knowledge of configuration management, document control, revision control, or engineering change processes., • Familiarity with PLM, ERP, or document management systems such as Windchill, Costpoint, SharePoint, or equivalent platforms., • Ability to access, navigate, and review engineering data in CAD applications such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent software., • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, EIA-649, or related quality and configuration management standards., • Understanding of requirements for handling proprietary, controlled, or export-controlled technical information., • Must have the ability to obtain a future Security Clearance could be required for the role. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $58,000-80,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
