This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. Position Highlights: • Logistics:, • Contract Type: 1 base year with 4, 1-year option periods, • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., CT, • Location: San Antonio, TX, • Requirements:, • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship., • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia., • Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (ABR). What does a typical day look like for the Interventional Radiology (IR) Physician? You will: • Schedule:, • Normal clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., CT., • On-call and call-back coverage when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays., • Direct Patient Care: Estimated 90% of the time is involved in direct patient care:, • Direct patient care procedures, • Attend scheduled clinics, • Provide notification of test results, • Provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for Interventional radiologic procedures, • Determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians., • Non-Direct Patient Care: Estimated 10% of time not involved in direct patient:, • Quality Improvement Meetings, • Staff Meetings, • Peer Reviews, • Specialized Meetings, • QA/QI documentation, • Patient Safety Compliance and Reporting What qualifications do you look for?
