Job Description Position Summary The Director, Defense Operations & Mission Integration leads Nalu Federal's expansion into new, cleared Department of Defense opportunities and strengthens mission delivery across security, intelligence, operational planning, and doctrine-focused programs. This role is a customer-facing leader who blends growth, capture support, and operational credibility to shape opportunities, prepare Nalu for facility/personnel security requirements (including support to Vicksburg execution needs), and transition wins into reliable execution. The Director serves as a trusted integrator across internal teams and DoD stakeholders to deliver compliant, mission-ready solutions aligned to customer priorities. Primary Responsibilities Growth, Capture, and Customer Engagement (Cleared DoD/War) • Lead a growth track focused on new cleared work within DoD and mission partners, emphasizing security, intelligence, doctrine/training, and operational planning requirements., • Develop and maintain relationships with DoD customers, primes, and mission partners; identify and qualify opportunities; shape solution concepts early., • Support capture execution: pipeline development, opportunity qualification, solution shaping, win themes, staffing approaches, and inputs to pricing strategy (as required)., • Produce/lead operational proposal content: CONOPS, technical approach, transition plans, staffing plans, training plans, and risk mitigation strategies., • Provide senior subject matter expertise in joint/coalition operations, mission integration, and operational planning processes., • Translate customer mission needs into executable delivery plans that integrate people, process, and enabling technologies., • Develop/standardize operational processes (battle rhythm, reporting, SOPs) to support program startup and sustainment., • Assist Nalu Federal with security work preparation supporting Vicksburg execution needs for cleared programs (facility readiness inputs, personnel readiness, controlled processes)., • Partner with the FSO/PSO and leadership to strengthen clearance onboarding, visit procedures, controlled information handling, and compliance training., • Support transition-in and startup for cleared awards: staffing, onboarding, operational SOPs, milestones, and performance reporting., • Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigations in coordination with Program Managers, Security, and functional leads., • Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain/maintain, per contract/customer requirement)., • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading DoD missions in one or more areas: security operations, intelligence support, operational planning, doctrine/training development, mission integration., • Proven customer-facing leadership and ability to translate mission needs into actionable capture and delivery strategies., • Experience contributing to proposal development, including writing/reviewing technical and operational approach sections., • Experience supporting Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Service Component HQs, intelligence community partners, or equivalent operational organizations., • Familiarity with cleared program setup and secure operating procedures (transition, document control, reporting discipline)., • Prior leadership in business development/capture for cleared federal work., • Cleared mission mindset and discretion, • DoD operational planning and mission integration, • Capture support and solution shaping, • Partnering and stakeholder engagement, • SOP/process development and standardization, • Transition execution and risk management, • Builds and advances a qualified cleared DoD pipeline focused on security/intel/doctrine opportunities., • Strengthens readiness enabling Vicksburg execution needs (security process maturity and onboarding discipline)., • Produces proposal-ready operational content that increases customer confidence and competitiveness., • Improves transition/startup outcomes for cleared wins (on-time staffing, compliant operations, strong customer feedback)., • Establishes durable customer/partner relationships that generate repeatable opportunities and growth.
