Job Description$75,000 - $90,000 JOB SUMMARY Purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that Outform Group’s production and operational needs are met; taking into consideration price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. The Buyer may take responsibility for specific projects, aspects of projects or hold a larger remit in terms of purchasing responsibility. SCOPE & ACCOUNTABILITY The Buyer is accountable for the end‑to‑end purchasing of goods, materials, and services required to support Outform Group’s production, project, and operational activities. This role has responsibility for managing assigned spend categories, suppliers, and inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy within defined purchasing policies and procedures and is expected to exercise sound judgment in supplier selection, negotiation, and issue resolution. The Buyer is accountable for maintaining accurate purchasing data, monitoring supplier performance, identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve value, efficiency, and reliability across the supply base. This role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Finance, and Sales to align purchasing activities with business requirements, project timelines, and customer commitments. The Senior Buyer is also responsible for proactively identifying opportunities for cost reduction, working capital optimization, and process improvement, while ensuring compliance with contractual, ethical, and regulatory standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets., • Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials., • Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers., • Attend meetings and update others on supply issues or concerns., • Recognize and advise any risks which could prevent the organization from meeting customer demands and/or when there are over capacity concerns with a supplier., • Review opportunities to make business savings, utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods., • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement., • Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance, along with managing performance improvement activities., • Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships., • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process., • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoicing issues., • Supply Chain & Procurement leadership, • Operations & Manufacturing, • Project Management, • Engineering & Design, • Finance & Accounting, • Sales & Account Management, • Quality & Compliance, • Warehouse & Logistics, • Approved and prospective suppliers and manufacturers, • Logistics and freight service providers, • Contract manufacturers and fabrication partners, • Cost Management & Savings, • Supply Continuity & Delivery Performance, • Maintenance of uninterrupted supply to support production schedules and project timelines, • Effectiveness in risk identification and mitigation related to supply constraints, • Supplier Performance & Relationship Management, • Compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and contract terms, • Accuracy and timeliness of purchasing data, documentation, and system transactions, • Support of project execution, customer commitments, and operational priorities, • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or in marketing agency, • Inventory management and forecasting, • Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers., • Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills., • Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities in manufacturing and marketing environments., • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines., • Keen attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements, • Contract management and supplier experience, • Project management experience, • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of common POP procurement (or similar industry) categories/processes: Metal, Electronics/AV, Wood, or Plastics, etc., • Computer literate, to include advanced Excel skills and Cloud Based ERP systems, preferably D365, SAP or ODOO., • Can embrace personal challenge, is confident, and a well-rounded thinking individual., • Is assertive, optimistic, and open to change., • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others., • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment, • Can proactively contribute to a team., • Strong commercial mindset with sound judgment in balancing cost, quality, risk, and delivery, • Takes ownership and accountability for suppliers, spend, and outcomes, • Confident, clear communicator able to influence across functions and with suppliers, • Collaborative team player who builds effective working relationships, • Solutions‑oriented, resilient, and effective under pressure in fast‑paced environments, • Detail‑oriented, ethical, and committed to continuous improvement Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and stand, using hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lenses. Requires long periods of time working at a computer and includes phone work. Travel up to 10% of the time is required and is an essential function of this position.
