We are expanding our consulting team and seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Sr. Analyst, Healthcare Reimbursement to support our consulting engagements and client deliverables. MUST have experience on payer or large provider side building, creating, modifying complex and advanced excel models. Multi specialty experience is required. Role Overview The Payer Contract Analyst is an experienced consulting role responsible for supporting payer contracting projects, analytics, data validation, contract management, and administrative workflows for our clients. This individual works closely with Associates, Senior Associates, and Principals across multiple client accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to gain exposure to national healthcare organizations, payer negotiations, reimbursement analytics, and C-suite leadership. Key Responsibilities • Advanced formula construction (nested IF, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, OFFSET, INDIRECT, array formulas), • Building fully dynamic financial and reimbursement models from raw claims data, • Complex logical modeling and scenario-based contract simulations, • Structured model architecture (separation of inputs, assumptions, calculations, outputs), • Advanced PivotTables & PivotCharts (multi-layer summarization of large datasets), • Power Query for data cleaning, transformation, and normalization, • Data validation frameworks and error-checking controls, • Sensitivity analysis and multi-variable scenario modeling, • Use of named ranges and structured references, • Advanced conditional formatting for financial analysis, • Dynamic dashboards and executive-ready output reporting Healthcare Specific Modeling Requirements DRG/APC-based reimbursement Fee schedules (CPT/HCPCS-based) Case rates and bundled payments Capitation and value-based arrangements • Modeling of payer carve-outs, stop-loss, and escalators, • Claims-level modeling (CPT/HCPCS, revenue code, modifier-level impact), • Medicare rate file integration and benchmarking, • Ability to reconcile modeled reimbursement to actual paid claims, • Variance analysis across payer contracts, • Rate uplift modeling and negotiation scenario projections, • Gross-to-net revenue modeling Data & Analytics • Validate client data sets (claims files, CPT code volumes, RVUs, etc.) and prepare them for modeling, • Assist in analyzing payer fee schedules, reimbursement trends, and rate variances, • Support creation of payer proposal models and scenario analyses, • Generate internal reports and contribute to client-facing deliverables Client & Internal Team Support • Participate in client and payer calls as needed to discuss analytical model findings, • Prepare agendas, summaries, and follow-up actions for meetings, • Collaborate with Associates/Senior Analysts to support negotiation strategy development, • Assist with preparing PowerPoint slides for client updates and presentations Operational Support • Ensure all materials are properly stored in secure platforms, • Maintain documentation standards across client engagements, • Help streamline internal processes and improve workflow efficiency Qualifications Required • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field, • 3-5 years of relevant experience (healthcare, payer/provider operations, analytics, or consulting preferred), • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred), • Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and client priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • High level of professionalism and discretion handling sensitive information Preferred • Prior experience with large healthcare provider, hospital system or health plan, • Exposure to CPT/HCPCS coding, payer fee schedules, or reimbursement concepts across multiple specialties, • Experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, or project management tools What We Offer • Competitive salary + bonus eligibility, • Exceptional healthcare and national client exposure, • Ability to work with C-suite leaders at high-growth healthcare organizations, • Clear advancement pathway (Analyst → Senior Analyst → Associate → Principal), • Opportunity to contribute to high-impact payer negotiations and large-scale consulting engagements, • Collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment in a rapidly growing firm
