This role owns the full employee lifecycle, manages and develops the HR team, and ensures HR operations are accurate, timely, compliant, and efficient. The HR Manager is responsible for simplifying and standardizing processes, eliminating unnecessary work, and ensuring consistent execution across administrative and operational teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead, manage, and cross-train the HR team to ensure continuity, coverage, and accountability., • Own and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, leave management, performance management, employee relations, discipline, and offboarding., • Develop and maintain succession plans for key roles and support workforce continuity., • Serve as the primary lead for employee relations and conduct thorough, well-documented workplace investigations., • Oversee and administer employee leave processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation coordination, and company-sponsored leaves., • Own HR compliance, including employee handbook administration, EEOC processes, harassment and discrimination matters, background checks, and motor vehicle record (MVR/MVA) compliance., • Provide HR guidance and support to safety teams, including coordination on incidents, investigations, and return-to-work matters., • Simplify, standardize, and continuously improve internal HR processes to eliminate duplication and inefficiencies., • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all HR matters., • Improve communication and alignment between administrative teams, operational leaders, and field management., • Support compensation and benefits administration and provide HR reporting to leadership as needed., • Lead and support organizational change initiatives., • Support acquisition companies through integration, ensuring alignment with company HR processes, policies, and internal systems. Qualifications Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field required; legal education or a strong legal foundation preferred., • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including experience managing and developing an HR team., • Strong background in employee relations, investigations, leave administration, and compliance., • Experience supporting operational and safety-driven environments., • Proven ability to execute, simplify processes, and lead change., • Strong judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.Work Location, Environment & Physical Requirements, • Full-time, in-office position based in Sugar Land, Texas., • Willingness to travel as needed to support operations and acquisition integration., • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods., • Ability to walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions in an office environment., • Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 25 pounds., • Ability to work at a computer and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
