Job Description Title: Business Development Professional (Manager, Senior Manager or Director) Exemption Status: Exempt About the Role Reports to Senior Vice President, Business Development. Responsible for leading all aspects of sales and strategic initiatives to advance business development in Central Texas (Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding areas) with both new and existing clients. Duties include client relationship management, development and execution of business development strategies, and oversight of how these efforts are planned, implemented, monitored, and reported. Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required with Business-oriented (Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Communications) or AEC-focused (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture) degree preferred., • 5 or more years of Business Development within the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry., • Demonstrated success in executing and managing sales, marketing, client and public relations is primary., • Significanty current industry and client contacts., • Demonstrated excellence in common software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), • Excellent written and oral communication skills, • General knowledge of construction terminology and processes, • Self-starter with organized and effective work habits, • Demonstrated problem solving and training skills, • Capable of exercising discretion and working independently to resolve problems and maintain a productive work environment, • Ability to multi-task Primary Duties Client Contact • Meets directly with those who influence buying to obtain client and opportunity information. Documents all information in CRM., • Formally documents win strategy and Linbeck differentiators in respect to competition and client needs., • Tracks opportunities and informs business development and marketing team, documenting in CRM., • Assists in client debriefing post-win and post-loss., • Maintains client contact to verify satisfaction post-win., • Build collateral client relationships (owner’s representative, architect, engineers, etc.) in order to facilitate knowledge of immediate and upcoming projects to target., • Supports the client executive and team in closing the opportunity., • Ensures attendance at pre-proposal meetings., • Build relationships with senior Linbeck executives to discuss strategies/challenges and more effectively sell Linbeck., • Partners with operations teams to plan, create presentations, and execute capture plans on pursuits in addition to business partners and community organizations., • Ensures that Linbeck differentiators are effectively presented throughout proposal documents., • Prepares and/or supports Go/No-Go decision forms., • Provides input in proposal development for both content and graphics., • Provides intelligence to support fee strategy., • Works with client executives to develop fee/staffing/etc., • Leads presentation development with proposal and graphics team (marketing)., • Ensures that Linbeck differentiation is clear throughout pursuit process., • Leads presentation rehearsals and participates in presentations when afforded by the client. Physical Requirements Must be physically fit enough to function safely on a project site and office setting.
