Job Description Position Summary The Associate Technical Operations Center (TOC) Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the health and performance of DAI’s IT infrastructure, networks, and key business applications. This entry-level position focuses on real-time monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and incident escalation to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability. Working closely with the Systems Engineering and Network Engineering teams, the TOC Associate gains hands-on exposure to enterprise operations, network monitoring, and infrastructure management. This position is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of IT operations, strong analytical thinking, and a passion for developing their technical expertise in a fast-paced, 24/7 enterprise environment. Compensation, Location, and Schedule • Pay Range: $27 – $30 per hour, • Location: 12655 Beatrice St., Los Angeles, CA 90066, • Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, Night Shift (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) Key Responsibilities • Monitor IT infrastructure, networks, and critical business applications using enterprise monitoring tools., • Act as the first line of response for technical incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalating when necessary., • Identify, analyze, and assist in resolving system performance issues, outages, and potential security incidents., • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to improve monitoring systems and enhance observability across platforms., • Perform scheduled system health checks, preventive maintenance, and capacity reviews., • Assist in deploying system patches, software updates, and infrastructure upgrades under supervision., • Document incidents, troubleshooting actions, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system., • Adhere to IT security policies, compliance standards, and operational best practices., • Participate in on-call rotations or after-hours support as part of a 24/7 operations environment. Qualifications & Requirements Education: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: • 0–2 years of experience in IT operations, network monitoring, or a related technical field (internships and coursework considered). Preferred Certifications: • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, • Microsoft Fundamentals (Azure, M365, or Windows Server), • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals Technical Skills: • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)., • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix, or similar)., • Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)., • Understanding of ITIL best practices for incident and problem management., • Basic scripting or automation knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus.
