Position Overview The Senior Data Analyst will report directly to the CIO and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s analytics strategy. You will translate complex data into actionable insights, drive AI adoption, and partner cross-functionally to optimize operations in finance, supply chain, and product development. This role demands both technical mastery and domain expertise to support strategic growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Architect, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL workflows from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Epicor Prophet 21)., • Optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) by writing advanced SQL and tuning performance., • Design interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or Epicor Grow to monitor KPIs and operational metrics., • Lead demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain analytics projects using statistical modeling and machine learning., • Collaborate with accounting to resolve period-end variances, develop custom queries, reports and portals, and automate financial reporting., • Mentor junior analysts, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices in data governance and documentation., • SQL and Database Management, • 5+ years of advanced SQL experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle), • Query optimization, performance tuning, schema design, normalization, • Data Visualization, • Expert in Power BI, Tableau, or Epicor Grow for constructing interactive dashboards, • Advanced Excel Skills (PivotTables, VBA, VLOOKUP) and database connectivity, • Data Warehousing, • Hands-on expertise with tools like Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery, • Designing scalable, cloud-based data architectures, • ETL Pipelines & Integration, • Architecting and optimizing ETL processes from ERP and cloud data sources via APIs, • Tool experience: Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Epicor Grow or custom Python solutions, • ERP Systems, • Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle NetSuite, MS Dynamics, or Epicor Prophet 21, • Ability to configure modules and integrate third-party systems and solutions, • Programming, • Python or R for statistical analysis, forecasting (ARIMA, exponential smoothing), and machine learning, • C# proficiency for ERP customizations and integrations (bonus skill), • Process Automation, • Accounting Principles, • Fundamental understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and period-end close processes, • Partnering with accounting teams on variance analysis and custom reporting, • Supply Chain Analytics, • KPIs: fill rate, lead time, inventory turnover, stockout rates, • Network optimization, cost-to-serve, sustainability metrics, • Demand Forecasting, • Building statistical and machine learning models for demand prediction, • Scenario planning, CPFR collaboration, and predictive analytics, • Inventory Management, • Stock optimization using EOQ, safety stock, and multi-echelon techniques, • Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste, • Logistics & Transportation, • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), • Experience deploying AI models for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and customer segmentation, • Knowledge of generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering for automated insights, • Understanding of MLOps practices, model versioning, and monitoring in production, • Communication & Stakeholder Management, • Translate data findings into executive-level presentations and dashboards, • Storytelling with data to influence strategy across finance, supply chain, sales, and IT, • Leadership & Mentorship, • Guide junior analysts, lead code reviews, and champion data literacy programs, • Drive change management when rolling out new analytics tools, • Problem-Solving, • Conduct root-cause analyses and apply critical thinking to complex business challenges, • Utilize Agile methodologies to deliver incremental improvements, • Documentation, • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field, • 7+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles, • Demonstrated track record deploying data-driven solutions in a manufacturing or distribution environment, • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses., • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, • 401(k) plan with employer match, • Professional development stipend and continuous learning opportunities, • Collaborative, inclusive culture driven by innovation and growth
