SALARY and BENEFITS: • Salary range is between $135,000 - $150,000, • 8 Paid holidays + 10 days PTO, • 100% company paid, Medical, Dental, and Vision monthly premiums for employees + dependents., • Company paid Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insurance., • Simple-IRA (similar to 401K) company match up to 3% of employee contributions., • Employee paid Supplemental Insurance Products such as:, • Critical Illness, • Whole Group Life Insurance, • Accident Insurance, • Short-term Disability JOB DESCRIPTION: The Financial Controller is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial integrity and performance of the company. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, the Financial Controller will lead a small finance team and provide strategic direction to support the company's growth goals. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field, • 5+ years in a finance leadership role, • Construction or job cost industry experience, • Excel and accounting software mastery (Sage 100 preferred), • CPA or CMA, • Advanced Power BI skills (DAX, M, data modeling), • IRR and ROI analysis experience, • Familiarity with SBA lending, bonding, and public-sector compliance, • Bonding & banking relationship management PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. JOB DUTIES: Strategic Financial Leadership: • Deliver financial modeling and decision-support tools for executive-level planning., • Lead initiative evaluation using Internal Rate of Return (IRR) methodology., • Ensure 90% of initiatives meet IRR hurdle rate before investment. Cash Forecasting & Treasury Oversight: • Maintain 13-week rolling cash forecasts., • Manage liquidity, optimize working capital, and oversee funds transfers between accounts., • Track DSO/DPO and optimize the cash conversion cycle., • Support DSCR compliance for financing and bonding. Budgeting, Cost Control & Departmental Analysis: • Lead annual zero-based budgeting and monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis., • Control G&A to target while driving gross profit through job cost tracking., • Conduct over/under billings adjustments and trial balance reviews., • Review union rate updates and city-specific tax reporting. Financial Reporting & Compliance: • Review and prepare financial reports and BBC., • Manage GAAP compliance, union and contractor reports, and ensure ERP data accuracy., • Administer OCIP enrollment and payroll, union, and WC audits., • Provide Sage reporting and Power BI analysis to the Executive Team. Team Leadership: • Manage and mentor the finance and administrative staff., • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and antifragile readiness.
