This role starts as program management: coordination, delivery, partner management. For the right person, it has the potential to grow into product management and AI workflow orchestration. You'll build product context and engineering relationships while learning how we use AI to ship faster. The program management work is how you earn credibility to expand scope. Key Responsibilities • Bridge PRDs to Engineering. Ensure work is defined, tracked, and moving across three teams (App, Cloud, Firmware)., • Own external partner relationships. Attend their meetings, translate their needs, drive follow-through., • Keep Jira useful, not ceremonial. Focus on providing visibility into progress and blockers., • Communicate delivery status to leadership ensuring there are no surprises., • Coordinate releases and deployment timelines., • Remove blockers, connect the right people and escalate when needed., • Strong communicator, written and verbal. This is the job., • Organized. You notice when things slip and fix the process, not just the symptom., • Technical enough to follow engineering discussions. You won't write code, but you should know how software ships., • Self-directed. You see what needs doing and do it., • 2-5 years in program management, project management, or technical coordination, • Experience working directly with software engineering teams, • Open to adjacent backgrounds (support leads, QA managers, dev ops coordinators) with strong coordination skills, • IoT, energy, or hardware+software company experience, • Track record of improving delivery predictability, • Already using AI tools daily: meeting notes, research, drafting, automation, • The team: 10-15 engineers, direct access to CTO and Head of Software. Your work ships to hundreds of thousands of customers. You'll collaborate daily with engineering leadership and the Head of AI., • Growth: This can become a product management role. You'll get exposure to the CEO and executive team, mentorship from engineering leadership, and hands-on experience with AI-accelerated workflows that most companies are still talking about, • Partner calls run without engineering leadership sitting in every one, • Engineers know what they're building next. No ambiguity between PRD and implementation., • Releases are predictable.
