Job Description Senior Manager, Technology Process Excellence Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing and workflow solutions to health plans and TPAs, is looking for a Senior Manager, Technology Process Excellence to join our team! This position serves as a senior operational leader responsible for driving process improvement, delivery efficiency, and cross-functional alignment across the Product, Engineering, Implementation/PMO, and Support organizations. This role leads the operational discipline needed to scale Smart Data Solutions’ technology organization, including assisting in establishing and optimizing the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC), improving project/implementation delivery practices, strengthening documentation and workflow quality, and implementing governance and operational excellence programs. This leader will work directly with the VP of Technology Operations & Process Excellence as a catalyst for transformation and modernization across the entire Technology organization, serving as a trusted advisor to Technology leadership and influencing decision-making across Product, Engineering, and Delivery. What you’ll be doing? Lead End-to-End Process Improvement Across Technology • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across Technology., • Assess current-state processes across Product, Engineering, Implementations, PMO, BA, and Support., • Map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and define redesigned future-state processes., • Drive operational standards, documentation quality, and process governance., • Implement, manage, and refine a standard Product Development Life Cycle across all teams., • Create templates, training, governance rituals, and dashboards., • Ensure the PDLC is followed throughout discovery, definition, design, build, testing, release, and maintenance., • Co-lead the transformation of Implementations into a standardized, scalable engine., • Develop and maintain an Implementation Playbook and project management frameworks., • Improve intake, scoping, risk management, change control, and cross-functional communication., • Establish KPIs for delivery efficiency, process performance, quality, and cycle time., • Build dashboards and reporting for Technology leadership., • Improve cross-functional alignment (Product ↔ Engineering ↔ Implementations ↔ Support ↔ Sales)., • Lead continuous improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes., • Develop and execute change management strategies to drive cultural adoption of new processes, • Facilitate leadership-driven governance committees for product development, implementations, and delivery performance., • Drive adoption of new processes across all Technology teams., • Create RACI models, governance workflows, and escalation pathways. What we’re looking for? Required skills: • 7+ years in process improvement, program management, Delivery Ops, or Operational Excellence, • Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing teams., • Executive presence and ability to influence at all levels, • Strong experience with Agile, SDLC/PDLC frameworks, • Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation, • Comfort with SaaS, EDI/healthcare data workflows, and automation technologies, • Adept at process mapping, workflow design, and operational analysis, • Strong change leadership and stakeholder management skills., • Excellent communicator and facilitator, with influence across technical and non-technical teams, • Strong analytical mindset with experience building KPIs and dashboards Why this is the company for you?
