Job Description Job Title: Quality Technician / Production Worker Shift: 6p - 630a 2-2-3 schedule Pay: $19 an hour / raise after permanent hire Temp-to-Hire Job Description The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring that all products manufactured in the facility meet strict safety, regulatory, and customer standards. This position conducts routine testing, monitors production activities, and maintains accurate documentation to support a safe and compliant manufacturing process. Responsibilities • Consistently follow all site safety rules, GMP practices, and PPE requirements while working in production or warehouse areas. Required PPE may include protective eyewear, hearing protection, hair/beard coverings, approved footwear, gloves, and safety restraints when using powered equipment., • Uphold all food safety and product quality standards established by internal programs, customer expectations, and regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, and local authorities., • Ensure all products and materials meet specified criteria stored within the SAP system or other quality documentation., • Immediately stop production if any condition puts food safety at risk and notify management without delay., • Perform routine and specialized testing on raw materials, in‑process batches, finished goods, packaging components, and treated water., • Conduct chemical, physical, and visual inspections to determine material acceptability., • Complete audits of packaged products to evaluate final quality, packaging appearance, and container integrity., • Verify process controls by performing torque checks, secure seal testing, seam evaluations, and any other assessments required by either the customer or the company., • Carry out laboratory sampling at scheduled intervals to validate production performance and ensure all materials are in compliance., • Report all out‑of‑specification findings to appropriate leadership personnel immediately., • Maintain clear, accurate, and legible records for all tests, follow‑up tests, inspections, and audits performed., • Complete quality‑related documentation such as work orders, action logs, and other required forms in accordance with deadlines., • Support calibration and proper operation of lab equipment to ensure reliable and repeatable results., • Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and audit‑ready at all times., • Participate in special assignments or projects as directed by quality leadership., • Technical Accuracy: Skilled in documenting tests and inspections thoroughly and correctly., • Ethical Standards: Demonstrates integrity in all quality‑related activities and decisions., • Adaptability: Able to adjust to frequent changes in production or testing requirements., • High school diploma or equivalent required., • 1–3 years of quality‑related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
