Job Description Job Summary: The Production Team Lead oversees daily operations within the aluminum manufacturing area, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high-quality outcomes. This role is responsible for coordinating team activities, monitoring workflow, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and maintaining a safe and accident-free work environment. The Production Lead serves as the primary contact for operations within the department and helps train, motivate, and guide team members to achieve optimal performance. Duties & Responsibilities • Lead, coach, and support production team members to ensure consistent performance, engagement, and accountability., • Model company values by fostering a culture of respect, open communication, and teamwork., • Provide hands-on training for new employees and ongoing skill development for existing team members., • Assign daily tasks, provide direction, and adjust staffing as needed to meet production requirements., • Oversee the manufacturing process for components, ensuring workflow efficiency and alignment with production schedules., • Monitor equipment, machinery, and tools, and report issues promptly to minimize downtime., • Ensure accurate packing, labeling, and movement of all materials and assemblies., • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics to keep operations on track and on time., • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications through daily checks and adherence to procedures., • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity., • Support implementation of lean practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives., • Ensure documentation, logs, and reports are completed accurately and timely., • Promote and enforce a zero-accident safety culture by following all safety policies and ensuring team compliance., • Conduct daily safety checks, support incident investigations, and recommend corrective actions., • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment., • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and industry regulations Requirements: • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in aluminum, metals, or industrial production., • Proven leadership or lead-operator experience., • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and workflow management., • Ability to train, motivate, and guide employees in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills., • Working knowledge of safety standards and quality practices., • Preferred experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques., • Preferred forklift or material handling certification., • Preferred experience with ERP, CSI/Infor manufacturing management systems. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of standing and walking., • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and aluminum materials., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods., • Requires use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols.
