Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Technician / Marine Electrician – Navy Submarines 📍 Location: Hawaii (Shipyard / Naval Environment) 🔐 Clearance: Active Secret Clearance (Final) – Highly Preferred Position Summary We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians / Marine Electricians to support Navy submarine programs. Candidates with backgrounds in high‑voltage, low‑voltage, avionics, fiber optics, shipyard, or marine electrical systems are encouraged to apply. This role involves the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of shipboard and facility electrical systems, including cables, lighting, power distribution, and electronic equipment. Experience in military or shipyard environments is highly valued. Key Responsibilities • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair marine and facility electrical systems, • Terminate, pin, route, and secure electrical and fiber‑optic cables, • Install and connect lighting, power, grounding, and control systems, • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics, • Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment, • Inspect systems to identify hazards, defects, or required adjustments, • Diagnose system malfunctions and perform corrective repairs, • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and other trades, • Meet productivity, quality, safety, and security standards, • Support preventive maintenance and equipment setup, • Assist with emergency response when required, • Learn and operate equipment such as forklifts and manlifts, • Perform additional duties as assigned by managementEssential Duties & Technical Skills, • Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures, • Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, and equipment, • Test circuits using voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and test lamps, • Install conduit, tubing, and cable runs through shipboard spaces, • Assemble, fabricate, and install components per specifications, • Repair or replace wiring, connectors, fixtures, and equipment, • Perform basic fabrication and mechanical support tasks as needed, • Support documentation, material tracking, and reportingRequired Qualifications, • U.S. Citizenship required, • Active Secret Clearance (Final) / Red Badge – strong plus, • Valid Driver’s License, • Apprenticeship or, • Associate’s Degree + 2 years experience, • Trade School Certificate + 2 years experience, • 2+ years installing, modifying, or repairing military electrical wiring and cable systems, • Experience with fiber optics, connector pinning, cable building/assembly, • Choice of 2 Medical Plans, • Dental & Vision Insurance, • Life Insurance, • Health Advocacy Services, • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • 401(k) Plan, • Employee Discount Program 🔐 Active Secret Clearance is a major plus. #AerojobsHawaii26 Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of HONOLULU, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
