Job Description Kamatics is looking for an Inspector III to join our Bloomfield, CT team on second shift. This role is responsible for performing inspection activities on products and materials, including first-piece inspections and in-process monitoring, to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and Kamatics’ quality standards. The Inspector III works closely with the Value Stream Manager and/or Senior Team Leader to meet production schedules, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Quality Assurance Supervisor for quality-related matters. Key Responsibilities * Perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerances. * Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections within assigned value streams. * Identify surface, dimensional, visual, material, documentation, and workmanship non-conformities in accordance with blueprints and Kamatics’ quality standards. * Report non-conforming materials or unusual conditions to the Quality Supervisor and cell leader. * Utilize inspection equipment to verify drawing specifications, including: * Mastery: Calipers, micrometers, dial bore gages, chamfer gages, profilometers * Proficiency: Optical comparators, Sunnen gages * Demonstrate proficiency in measuring GD&T characteristics, including roundness, parallelism, concentricity, runout, perpendicularity, flatness, and total runout. * Demonstrate ability to identify GD&T items such as true position and material modifiers. * Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect product. * Complete all responsibilities in accordance with productivity, quality expectations, and established work procedures. * Maintain inspection records, data, and logs; create inspection documentation such as IMS, first article, and related forms. * Navigate computer systems and software to access drawings, inspection plans, and verification requirements. * Provide leadership and training support as needed to ensure production schedules are met. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow all safety and environmental procedures and report incidents as required. * Recommend improvements to work processes and procedures; actively contribute to 5S initiatives. * Deliver a high level of service to internal and external customers while fostering a positive team environment. * Perform other duties as assigned and participate in cross-training or learning additional positions. Key Responsibilities * Identify sales opportunities and growth potential within current and prospective accounts in alignment with Kamatics’ marketing and sales strategies. * Develop and execute account strategies, sales campaigns, and targeted growth initiatives. * Conduct sales calls and deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers at various organizational levels. * Manage a defined sales territory and collaborate cross-functionally with internal Kamatics teams to achieve sales targets. * Maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts; communicate activities, provide updates, and deliver reports to customers and internal stakeholders. * Handle customer inquiries and complaints; coordinate issue resolution with appropriate internal teams. * Update and maintain sales presentations and materials to ensure Kamatics remains at the forefront of providing customer-focused solutions. * Make recommendations to management regarding new sales initiatives, market opportunities, and territory strategies. * Prepare and submit monthly activity and sales reports to management. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety and environmental procedures and regulations; report safety incidents as required. * Recommend improvements to sales processes, tools, and procedures; contribute to 5S initiatives where applicable. * Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers while promoting a positive, collaborative team environment. * Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate cross-functional activities related to proposals and contracts to achieve pricing, schedule, and contractual terms acceptable to the company. * Support proposal development by gathering cost estimates, preparing submissions, and participating in negotiations. * Justify projected labor rates, overhead burdens, labor hours, and material estimates during customer negotiations. * Review purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management standards. * Issue Sales Orders outlining scope of work, delivery schedules, contractual terms, and internal responsibilities. * Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions; negotiate contract changes and modifications as requested by customers or initiated by the company. * Provide internal guidance on contract interpretation and contractual obligations; engage corporate legal counsel as needed. * Maintain close communication with customers throughout the contract lifecycle. * Review and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). * Prepare periodic reports on funding status, delinquencies, sales order progress, and other contract metrics to keep management informed. * Track and report internal key performance indicators (KPIs) as requested. * Enter, maintain, and update contract and sales data in internal databases and systems. * Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels. * Perform other related duties as assigned to support contracts and business operations. Education * Bachelor’s degree required. * Degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.
