Job DescriptionLitigation Legal Assistant – Washington, D.C. Location: 2000 M Street NW, Suite 505, Washington, D.C. 20036 Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 (Direct Hire) Schedule: Full-time | Onsite with 1 remote day/week (Tuesday or Thursday) Parking paid by employer FordHarrison LLP, a nationally recognized labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support three partners.This is a high-impact role supporting employment defense litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Key Responsibilities: -Manage correspondence, scheduling, and communication with clients, courts, and vendors -Assist attorneys with litigation discovery, hearing preparation, and trial support -Perform e-filing, bates numbering, redactions, and document formatting -Maintain organized electronic files and manage case deadlines -Coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations -Process expense reports and assist with time entry and billing -Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness -Collaborate with billing specialists to ensure timely client invoicing Qualifications: -5+ years of defense litigation experience required -Strong knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure -Typing speed of 65+ WPM -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-filing systems, and document management tools -Excellent grammar, writing, and communication skills -Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure -High level of professionalism, dependability, and initiative High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Why Join FordHarrison LLP? -Work with a respected legal team in a nationally recognized firm -Competitive compensation and benefits -Paid parking and partial remote flexibility -Inclusive and collaborative work environment Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: The pay transparency policy is available here: For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
