Position Summary: The Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) Coordinator supports Damien Center’s interdisciplinary clinical team by managing the coordination and administration of long-acting injectable medications. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities to ensure timely access, safe administration, and accurate documentation of LAI therapies. The LAI Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining seamless communication between patients, pharmacy, billing, and clinical staff to promote efficient, patient-centered care. Duties and Responsibilities: This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position. It should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all required duties, responsibilities, and skills. • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update health information in the electronic health record (EHR), including medical history, screening form responses, and medication reconciliation., • Administer medications, including injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal) as ordered, documenting all administrations in medication logs and tracking systems., • Prepare exam rooms for patient visits by cleaning, sterilizing, and restocking supplies to maintain infection control standards., • Document all care provided and patient interactions in the EHR accurately and in real time., • Interact with patients, • Maintain compliance with Damien Center’s Standards of Conduct, infection control, and all related policies and procedures., • Participate actively in departmental and agency-wide meetings, training, quality improvement activities, and professional development opportunities as requested by leadership., • Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate unconditional positive regard for all patients, coworkers, and community partners., • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and cultural humility., • Anticipate patient needs and take proactive steps to address concerns or barriers to care within scope of practice., • Ensure all clinical areas remain clean, organized, and functional throughout the workday., • Collaborate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and provide support as needed to ensure optimal clinic operations., • Address challenges and conflict situations constructively, seeking assistance when appropriate. The ideal candidate must have: • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the State of Indiana, • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The ideal candidate will have: • Minimum of two to three years of experience as an LPN in a clinical setting, preferably in ambulatory or outpatient care, • Proficiency in electronic health records is required, and eClinical Works experience is preferred, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer applications, • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication.
