This is a critical role for a strategic, detail-oriented leader with deep knowledge of crane operations, safety protocols, and government contracting. Apply at Position Summary The Site Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects related to the installation, maintenance, and operation of crane equipment and services at remote job sites. This role requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of crane operations and safety protocols. A successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, government personnel, and key stakeholders to understand project requirements, design-tailored solutions, and ensure successful project delivery, while playing a pivotal role in driving development and execution of solutions for government contract requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Project Scope Definition:, • Manage day-to-day field crane operations at China Lake Navy Air Weapons Station in Ridgecrest CA., • Determine technical rigging requirements, • Collaborate closely with government personnel and stakeholders to understand requirements, gather requirements, and create responsive solutions that enhance government services., • Foster collaboration among various government/ contractor personnel, project managers, and external partners to ensure seamless integration and execution of solutions., • Administration:, • Manage project schedules including crane program master schedule., • Provide a leadership role in integrating various aspects of multiple projects and related customer directed installation services under contract at the China Lake Navel Air Weapons Station., • Create and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met., • Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for the successful implementation of solutions., • Develop budgets, monitor expenditures, optimize resource allocation and ensuring cost-effectiveness in solution development and implementation., • Keep the Project Management team informed about business activities, potential risks or threats, opportunities and recommended actions., • Leadership Support:, • Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project success., • Develop and maintain relationships with the customer contact(s), project manager(s) and element leads., • Provide clear effective communication to internal and external stakeholders., • Engineering:, • Coordinate and integrate Critical Crane Lifts/rigging plans with customers, operators and craft personnel., • Familiar with scope of work and project specification required to direct crane/rigging plans., • Safety and Compliance:, • Implement and enforce safety protocols and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all project participants., • Ensure that all crane operations and construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards but not limited to: CAL/OSHA, NAVFAC P-307 & EM-385., • Maintain crane/mobile equipment and rigging inspections/records. Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience • Equivalent experience or a bachelor’s degree in construction/project management., • Civil, mechanical or electrical engineering experience beneficial., • A valid Driver’s License is required., • Knowledge of crane applications and safety standards., • Prefer (5) years of experience in project management., • Understanding of government procurement processes and regulations., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all preferred levels., • Operation and maintenance experience is beneficial, • Ability to acquire government security clearance Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Knowledge:, • Knowledge of crane operations, interpreting crane charts, lifting capacities, and operational considerations., • Knowledge of construction project management principles, including project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation., • Understanding safety regulations and protocols related to crane field operations., • Understanding of project management principles, including experience in leading integrated process teams (IPT) and overseeing program administration., • Knowledge of government contracts, regulations, and compliance standards relevant to defense and aerospace industries., • Skills:, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and key stake holders., • Proficiency in implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with safety regulations at field sites., • Proficiency in contract management in government facilities., • Ability to oversee and integrate various aspects of complex projects., • Abilities:, • Strategic thinking abilities to contribute to the development of tailored solutions aligning with organizational goals., • Ability to coordinate program reviews, ad hoc meetings, and assume program administration duties effectively., • Capability to ensure security compliance within projects as well as compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and requirements., • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including customer contacts, project managers, Navy compliance departments and contract management.
