Job Description This role is part of our Youth & Recreational Sports group, comprised of technology platforms such as SportsEngine HQ, SportsEngine Motion, SportsEngine Play and SportsEngine Tourney. We enable athletes, parents, coaches and team administrators in the youth and recreational space to manage their organizations, collect payments, share schedules, find programs to participate in and connect with other families. Additionally, NCSI enables leagues and organizations to properly screen and train coaches in an effort to keep kids safe. The Director of Sales will report to the Vice President of Sales & Account Management and lead a team of sales leaders responsible for driving new customer acquisition and exceeding revenue goals. This role oversees the execution of a comprehensive demand‑generation strategy, contributes to strategic planning within assigned sport verticals, and supports cross‑functional initiatives through high‑level, data‑informed decision‑making. Job Duties: • Establish and execute strategic plans to acquire customers and grow revenue within assigned segments., • Coach, train, and develop the team in outbound techniques, product demand generation, and opportunity identification., • Support senior leadership on quarterly and annual initiatives, taking a leading role across the sales leadership team., • Assist and train new leadership members across the team., • Lead organization and execution of department or company-wide meetings., • Drive team engagement, enhance culture, and foster self-sufficient teamwork., • Partner with sales leadership and HR to resolve employee performance and relation issues., • Act as a role model and embody company mission and values., • Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings and quarterly/annual performance reviews., • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain talent to support advancement and succession planning., • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through innovation and performance evaluation., • Collaborate on annual budgets, compensation plans, and goal setting aligned with corporate goals., • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results to clients., • Standardize service level expectations, roles, and responsibilities across departments., • Develop and optimize GTM strategies to exceed customer acquisition, retention, and expansion goals., • Create repeatable customer success programs with measurable goals and training initiatives., • Build strategic relationships with key clients and partners., • Collaborate with senior leaders on territory expansion plans., • Conduct regular business reviews with senior leadership and direct reports., • Other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications, • 7+ years in a sales leadership/management role, preferably in a SaaS-related business., • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and direct employees toward success, • Experience in a matrixed organization collaborating across Strategic Planning, Business Development, Content, and Product Management., • 4+ years of experience in SaaS Sales & Account Management with a track record of leadership and innovation., • High competency with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and other CMS/sales marketing tools., • Success as a manager and operator within a SaaS and payments market., • Results-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills., • Ability to multi-task with consistent and timely follow-through., • Strong knowledge of the youth sport landscape and industry trends., • Strong communication skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders., • Willingness to travel to engage prospects and partners., • Ability to leverage market research and data for strategic sales planning., • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills., • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-VERSANT worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence., • Travel: Must be able to travel domestically for business meetings, trainings and team events as needed.
