Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/22/2025, • Duration: 26 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Contract Duration: 20-26 Weeks (Winter Contract with potential to extend into January, earliest end date: Jan 10) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting, handling a diverse range of medical emergencies for patients of all ages, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, and treatment of a variety of conditions., • Administer medications, perform advanced procedures, and monitor patients' response to treatments., • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using the Epic charting system., • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures., • Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission., • Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, with previous charge experience required., • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS, and NRP., • Experience with pediatric emergencies and familiarity with emergency procedures such as intubation, drug administration, and managing multi-system organ failure., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively., • Availability to work every other weekend and required holidays as scheduled., • Comfort with floating between different Emergency Department locations as necessary., • Adherence to compliance standards, including completion of required training and certifications before the start of the contract., • Engage in a fast-paced emergency setting with an average of 90 patient visits per day., • Work within a fully staffed team, supported by Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Radiology.
