Job DescriptionSalary: $80,000 - $100,000 DOE Department: Link Safety Operations Reports To: Safety Manager, Link Safety Position Status: Regular / Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary The Safety Manager will serve as a full-time, client-embedded safety professional responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the clients complete safety management system. This leadership role focuses on building sustainable safety processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a proactive, accountability-based safety culture across all levels of the client organization. Working in collaboration with both client leadership and Link Safety, the Safety Manager will design, implement, and oversee systems that integrate safety into field and administrative operations. The position requires deep technical knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, strong communication and coaching abilities, and a proven ability to translate policies into practical, measurable field execution. The Safety Manager will serve as a bridge between Link Safety and the client, ensuring all safety initiatives align with regulatory standards, organizational goals, and long-term program sustainability. Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and manage the clients comprehensive safety management system, including policies, procedures, and documentation structure., • Conduct full evaluations of existing programs and practices to identify compliance gaps and opportunities for improvement., • Establish consistent systems for inspections, incident reporting, corrective actions, and training documentation., • Lead development and maintenance of the clients Safety Program, Safety Manual, and field documentation tools., • Conduct and oversee field safety inspections, compliance audits, and hazard assessments in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and applicable state regulations., • Facilitate new-hire orientations, toolbox talks, and targeted safety training for employees and subcontractors., • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to supervisors and field personnel to promote hazard awareness and accountability., • Oversee incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action follow-up., • Support the implementation and use of digital reporting tools for inspections, JHAs, and training records., • Track and analyze safety performance metrics, producing monthly reports with trends, observations, and recommendations., • Facilitate quarterly review meetings with Link Safety and client leadership to evaluate progress and continuous improvement initiatives. General Duties and Expectations • Represent Link Safety with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality while embedded at the clients organization., • Maintain open communication and collaboration between client management, project teams, and Link Safety leadership., • Serve as the clients primary technical resource for safety-related inquiries and regulatory interpretation., • Ensure all required training, certifications, and safety documentation are current and audit-ready., • Demonstrate visible leadership through exampleactively promoting safety compliance and culture. Education and Experience Required: • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in construction or industrial safety management, consulting, or program development., • Proven success in creating and implementing new safety programs, systems, or departments., • Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and related safety regulations., • Demonstrated ability to perform audits, develop procedures, and conduct effective employee training., • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field., • Professional certification such as CSHO, ASP, or CSP., • Prior experience managing safety systems for general contractors, industrial firms, or specialty trade companies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills., • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail., • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and mobile safety applications (e.g., SafetyCulture, iAuditor)., • Ability to interpret and apply safety standards to real-world field environments., • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision., • Skilled in fostering collaboration between management, supervisors, and field employees. Working Conditions • Full-time, primary office based with regular travel between active job sites., • Work performed outdoors in construction or industrial environments, with occasional office duties., • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods., • Exposure to noise, dust, and changing weather conditions may occur.
