Job Description About the Role: The Quality & Safety Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards and comply with safety regulations across the organization. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality management and safety programs that minimize risks and enhance operational efficiency. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to foster a culture of safety and quality excellence. They will also serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and quality standards. Ultimately, this role aims to protect employees, customers, and the company’s reputation by upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in all operational activities. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment., • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards)., • Proven experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions., • Certification such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt., • Experience with environmental health and safety (EHS) management systems and sustainability initiatives., • Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools and software for quality and safety metrics tracking., • Previous experience working in a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, aerospace, or food manufacturing., • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements., • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential safety hazards and quality issues, and lead corrective action plans to address findings., • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to integrate quality and safety considerations into all stages of product development and manufacturing., • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control processes, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance to promote a culture of continuous improvement. The Quality & Safety Manager utilizes analytical skills daily to interpret audit results, safety reports, and quality data to identify areas for improvement. Strong communication skills are essential for training employees, reporting to management, and collaborating with regulatory agencies. Leadership and organizational skills enable the manager to coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Problem-solving abilities are applied to develop effective corrective actions and preventive measures that mitigate risks. Additionally, proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools supports informed decision-making and continuous process enhancement.
