Job Description We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of case management, from intake through judgment and post-judgment enforcement. This role is based in our Coral Gables, Florida office and follows a hybrid schedule of two to three in-office days per week, coordinated with attorney court calendars and team needs. The Family Law Paralegal partners with attorneys from intake through judgment and post-judgment, drafting and filing pleadings and discovery, managing calendars and deadlines, preparing hearing and trial materials, and coordinating service, mediations, and depositions. This is a client-facing role that demands impeccable judgment, organization, and disciplined timekeeping. You will play a central role in ensuring all critical dates are captured and met, e-filings comply with jurisdictional rules, and matter files remain organized and current. Because many clients and counterparties are Spanish-speaking, proficiency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required to communicate effectively, draft and translate documents, and support hearings and conferences. Compensation: $45,000 - $60,000 yearly Responsibilities: • Conduct client interviews and gather case facts, documents, and status updates from intake through post-judgment., • Draft, proof, and file pleadings and discovery, including petitions, responses, declarations, income and expense declarations, disclosures, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, affidavits, and proposed orders., • Manage court and case calendars, deadlines, and hearing dates; coordinate service of process, attorney appearances, mediations, and depositions., • Prepare hearing and trial materials, including exhibit and witness lists, trial binders, and attorney notebooks; support attorneys with logistics and last-minute revisions., • Organize and analyze financial records (bank statements, payroll, tax returns) and compile clear, exhibit-ready summaries for disclosures and motions., • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous time entries and matter notes; update case status reports, task lists, and file organization., • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors while safeguarding confidentiality and privilege., • Perform targeted legal and procedural research; draft attorney-ready correspondence and memoranda., • Support e-filing and e-service in state and local courts, adhering to jurisdiction-specific rules, formats, and deadlines., • Handle essential administrative tasks as needed, including phone coverage, document routing, and maintaining a disciplined, searchable filing system.Qualifications:, • 2+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, with at least 2 years focused on family law., • Solid knowledge of Florida family law procedure and local rules, including e-filing and service requirements. (Update for your state as needed.), • Demonstrated proficiency drafting family law pleadings and discovery with minimal supervision., • High accuracy in document management, calendaring, and deadline control., • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients and court staff., • Strong organizational skills and consistent, detailed timekeeping. Preferred Qualifications • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a bachelor’s degree., • Experience preparing financial disclosures, support guidelines, and trial exhibits in complex matters., • Proficiency with case management and e-filing systems (e.g., Clio, MyCase, Filevine, One Legal, Journal Technologies).
