This employee has access to medication storage areas, may receive, deliver, store and administer certain medications as specifically listed. The Paramedic participates with the RN and medical provider in planning, coordinating, and implementing plan of care to ensure quality, appropriateness, timeliness, professionalism, and effectiveness of service rendered. Key Responsibilities: • Provide all aspects of Emergency Department (ED) care based on established standards. Demonstrate competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the medical needs of patients served; the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients needs; knowledge of growth and development; and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients., • Order, stock and replenish supplies within the department., • Set up and assist with special procedures as instructed by physicians, medical providers and nurses.
