Job Description ABOUT THE JOB : The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Specialist II is to drive NWPX Precast’s recruitment efforts with a focus on recruiting for hourly, specialty and exempt level positions. This includes the development of localized recruiting strategies for each location as needed, as well as company-wide recruiting strategies. The position will be required to provide superior customer service to HR Representatives, hiring managers and candidates at our US based locations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develops valuable recruitment strategies for open positions, including plans to target both active and passive candidates., • Writes and places effective job advertisements across a variety of platforms, including social media., • Coordinates recruitment efforts for posted positions including identifying candidates for further consideration, conducting initial phone screen interviews, and coordinating interviews between the hiring manager, local HR and the candidates., • Maintains complete and accurate records of all job openings and applicant data including final disposition of each candidate through the applicant tracking system., • Effective negotiation skills to finalize offers and close candidates, particularly for positions with specialized skills or highly competitive markets., • Foster positive relationship with candidates through job offer and transition to the local HR representative for onboarding., • Maintains clear visibility of all active candidates, ensuring timely follow-up and seamless communication across stakeholders, • Supports the Company’s efforts in developing a diverse workforce., • Maintains careers section of the Company website, as well as careers social media platforms including LinkedIn and Facebook., • Assists local HR Representatives with community outreach including job fairs, outplacement services, community college or trade schools and work with local military., • This position operates under broad guidelines but is expected to use creativity and innovation to accomplish the Company’s recruiting goals. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position successfully, individuals must: • Have knowledge of a variety of recruiting principles and practices including, but not limited to, sourcing and assessing candidates, writing job descriptions and extending job offers., • Possess the ability to effectively work with varying management styles both in person and via remote communications, while maintaining a sense of humor., • Be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately., • The ability to effectively manage high quantity of open job requisitions simultaneously, timely and effectively., • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in managing all requisitions, interview scheduling and candidate documentation., • Owns end to end administrative tracking of the recruitment process, ensuring data integrity and process consistency., • Be a good judge of skills, abilities and compatibility with company culture, • Build and promote the positive brand of NWPX to attract top talent., • Prioritize recruitment needs to balance urgent hiring needs with long-term staffing goals., • Have a general knowledge of applicant tracking systems, as well as intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications., • Be capable of quickly learning systems, processes and procedures. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required., • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field (i.e., Business, Human Resources, Social Sciences) is preferred., • Two to five years of experience with recruiting, preferably in industrial manufacturing., • Ability to Speak, Communicate, Read and Write in both English and Spanish, • Experience with applicant tracking systems is highly desired. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require working outside of standard office hours weekend or evening work. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position. Less than 1/3 of the time: • Reaching: Grabbing things from a distance above or from the side., • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position., • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers such as for working on a computer or doing common office tasks. Physical Requirements Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, including the human body. Visual Acuity The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
