We Are Looking For The Assembly Technician position will play a key role within a team that will work together to assemble our customer’s product. The ability to perform effectively in a manufacturing environment and in conjunction with meeting delivery schedules and customer requirements is critical to this position. What You'll Do • Perform various tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as cables and harnesses., • Production of wire harness and cable assemblies using hand and/or power tools, including specialized crimpers, drills, soldering tools, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, wire strippers, precision measuring instruments, etc., • Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to correct and improve upon any documents related to the assembly process., • Must be able to be trained and certified to IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610, J-Std-001., • Routes and ties wires to form wire harnesses used in electrical equipment., • Determine and identify materials needed and sequence of assembly., • Ensure the wire harness meets our quality by testing the wires with a tester., • Form wire harness by wrapping and tying wires together., • Completing the assembly of the harness by color, length of the wire, and marking. What You Bring • 1-2 years of experience in the aerospace or electrical industry., • High school degree or equivalent experience in the electronic industry., • Able to lift up to 30 pounds., • Ability to read and comprehend procedures., • Familiarity with assembly tools, processes, and terminology., • Must understand proper crimping and stripping methods., • Ability to distinguish colors is required., • Technical knowledge of electronics and mechanical designs., • Good verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to work with a minimum of direct supervision., • Understanding or experience with regulatory requirements and general safety., • Self-motivated team player.
