What you can expect as an Application Manager - Guidewire PolicyCenter: • Work closely with Application Delivery and Support services leadership team on the project planning, setting milestones and deliverables., • Lead the ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of our Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter). Will oversee support operations, ensure system stability, manage stakeholder communication, and lead a team of support analysts and engineers., • Oversee the daily support operations of Guidewire InsuranceSuite, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests., • Monitor application performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues., • Manage issue triage, troubleshooting, and resolution, escalating to Guidewire or third-party vendors when needed., • Collaborate with product owner, technical leads, and quality engineering leads to ensure effective cross-project communication and issue/risk management., • Collaborating with DevOps and infrastructure teams for troubleshooting production issues, • Actively participate in application delivery process improvement initiatives to enable operational efficiency., • Responsible for all parts of SDLC including gathering requirements, write code and unit tests, documenting and deploying working software and supporting applications., • Actively involved in solutioning, designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining GOSU language application code in Guidewire applications., • Participate in a variety of planning and development activities., • Provide direction and technical expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter in design, development and integration., • Works closely with Quality Assurance members to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of systems/applications., • Independently resolves complex production issues and leads troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span multiple applications and systems., • Perform code/design reviews to ensure quality code is delivered and control technical debt., • Participate in daily scrum meetings, backlog grooming, project planning, and technical design workshops., • Provide a healthy work environment to project teams and ensure IT Application Delivery set objectives are met within stipulated time. What we are looking for as a Application Manager - Guidewire PolicyCenter: • At least 10 years of experience implementing Guidewire suite of products, primarily in Guidewire PolicyCenter., • Extensive experience in product customization/configuration, re-designing and building interfaces to external systems., • Configure new screens using PCFs & Gosu, plug-in development and third-party software integrations using SOAP/REST APIs, XML, JSON etc., • Experience building workflows and batch processes., • Experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter integrations., • Experience with Guider Portals Edge APIs and integrations, • Experience with Guidewire upgrades., • Experience creating and consuming Web Services using SOAP protocol in Guidewire applications., • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills., • Strong ability to debug system issues and resolve defects., • Experience in handling and engaging vendors and able to connect and communicate effectively with Architects to present research findings and analysis to make recommendations., • Ability to manage time and complete multiple tasks while continually meeting deadlines., • Exposure to public cloud environment (AWS), process and tools., • Experience with Continuous Integration tools to automate code testing., • Experience with design, development, modification, and deployment of software using design standards and best practices., • Thorough knowledge in various technical domains of application development; understanding of development methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle of applications., • Use of common programming tools demonstrated ability to follow software specifications and ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel of Business and IT teams., • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of team., • Ability to perform well and professionally in a demanding, high performance IT organization.
