Job DescriptionJob Title: Civil Highway Project ManagerJob Description The Civil Highway Project Manager is responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects. This includes planning, scope, schedule and budget management, team coordination, stakeholder communication, risk management, resource management, quality assurance, and reporting. Responsibilities • Manage projects in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget., • Collaborate with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk-adverse project scope and fee., • Develop project-specific plans, including Project Management Plans and quality management plans., • Create and maintain project schedules., • Manage subconsultants., • Monitor and execute project progress, identifying and mitigating risks., • Develop extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals., • Communicate project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders., • Participate in project financial status meetings., • Build relationships with clients to understand preferences and requirements for quality project execution., • Prepare progress reports and lead project status presentations., • Assist with marketing processes, including SMART Go/No Go decisions, proposal development, and interviews., • Coordinate and guide all technical resources within the project team to ensure high-quality outcomes., • Provide coaching and mentorship to the project team, acknowledging achievements and sharing lessons learned., • Lead and manage team members, setting expectations, goals, and providing continuous performance feedback.Essential Skills, • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program., • Professional engineer license., • 10+ years’ experience in developing roadway/highway plans., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office., • Strong communication and presentation skills., • Experience in civil engineering, engineering, design, roadway, and roadway design.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • CAPM or PMP certification preferred., • Experience working with local clients at the county and state level., • Experience with multiple project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and P3.
