Summary/Objective: The Resident Engagement Lead – Alameda Campus will be responsible for fostering a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere within Warren Village’s supportive housing project for families, who have experienced homelessness or housing instability, with a preference for single parents. The focus of this role will be divided into four areas: 1) Ensuring smooth front desk, food pantry, and other programmatic operations from a resident-centered approach, including developing policies and procedures as needed; 2) Ensuring robust enrichment and community-building initiatives, informed by resident input; 3) Conducting one-to-one case management support to a caseload of residents; and 4) Collaborating closely with the Development Team, providing essential support for special events maintaining that resources and opportunities are allocated equitably to address the diverse needs of residents. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Resident Engagement Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation • Supervises resident engagement staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluation., • Develops, monitors, and ensures continuous improvements to front desk and food pantry processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, equity, and consistency among staff, optimizing resident and visitor experience., • Oversees day-to-day support for resident engagement staff ensuring implementation of emergency procedures and security protocols, food pantry operations, front desk operations, and other areas as needed., • Develops diverse offerings of classes, workshops, and events informed by resident voice and aligned strategically with Warren Village Family Supportive Services Department goals and the Economic Mobility Bridge pillars: housing, family wellness, and parenting, physical and mental health, financial literacy, education, employment, and career readiness, and community building, incorporating resident voice, participation, and feedback into the development process., • Develops working relationships with community agencies to plan, execute, and manage logistics for onsite engagement opportunities aimed at enhancing community cohesion and resident well-being., • Implements schedules to ensure seamless execution of programming and services, volunteer support, and resident communication., • Oversees the data collection, program attendance, and program evaluation efforts for resident engagement programming., • Works collaboratively with the Volunteer Coordinator and Corporate Engagement Lead on fostering a culture of volunteerism by creating opportunities for volunteers to engage and support staff, programming, and special resident events; attends all scheduled events and supports with the planning and execution of special events., • Consults closely with the Development Team to procure donations, ensuring a consistent supply of items needed for on-site operations and food pantry., • Develops curriculum and facilitates workshops, as needed. Direct Services • Provides case management, Mobility Mentoring© coaching, and resource referral to residents as needed, assisting residents through problem-solving, direct support, intervention, de-escalation, and mediation, as necessary., • Facilitates connections for residents to additional onsite programming., • Provides regular coverage of front-desk responsibilities, ensuring seamless operations., • Assists with intern supervision as needed., • Fulfills essential documentation and reporting obligations. Leadership • Serves as a liaison between resident engagement staff and other staff on property, fostering effective communication and collaboration., • Serves as lead for crisis management as needed., • Serves as the cross-site lead on food access partnerships and streamlining mission-aligned partnerships across sites., • Fosters cross-site collaboration by connecting with other Warren Village Residential Engagement Lead to share best practices and leverage collective insights., • Supports in the development and administration of adult resident engagement program budgets., • Maintains open channels of communication and sharing of information with the Director of Family Supportive Services and other Warren Village staff to collaboratively ensure the development of goals for resident engagement, aligned with Warren Village’s overarching strategic vision., • Uses data-driven insights to inform decision-making and prioritize improvement efforts aimed at optimizing residential engagement and resident satisfaction. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field; or 8 years of work experience in one or more of these fields., • Experience facilitating community activities, classes, and/or workshops for homeless populations and low-income, culturally diverse communities., • Knowledge and experience in engaging, building rapport, and facilitating group activities within residential care/treatment settings or supportive housing environments., • One year of experience supervising staff., • Experience in program coordination and/or development., • Experience working with culturally diverse people., • Ability to work regular night and occasional weekend hours within the work week. Preferred education eligibility requirements (Certifications, Licenses, etc.), and/or experience: • Lived experience in homelessness and/or housing instability, including alumni of Warren Village., • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field., • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification., • Experience providing case management, coaching, and resource navigation to homeless populations and low-income, culturally diverse communities and/or to residents in care/treatment settings or supportive housing environments., • Fluency in both English and Spanish languages, proficiently communicating verbally and in writing., • If driving is required, the employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive Warren Village vehicles. Work Environment: The working environment is typically that of an office using a personal computer, telephone, and other equipment. Physical Demands: Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs. Primarily a stationary position. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office/facility to access file cabinets, storage spaces, access units and building spaces by utilizing stairs, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
