Job Description Position Details: Job Title: Senior IT Auditor Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite – Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months (C2H) This position will convert to a full-time (FTE) role. Job Description: The Senior IT Auditor will serve as an internal control consultant responsible for conducting internal IT audits and reviews. This role supports risk mitigation efforts by evaluating the control environment of auditable units, providing risk education, and performing project risk assessments. The position requires communicating risks and control recommendations to multiple leadership levels and guiding junior IT audit staff. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct internal IT audits and reviews to identify risks, document existing controls, and assess the overall control environment · Communicate audit findings, issues, and recommendations clearly to operating, IT, and executive management, including updates to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors · Assist in developing the annual audit plan through risk universe identification · Facilitate project risk assessments, lessons-learned sessions, and management action-planning workshops · Collaborate with management to identify business risks, prioritize control gaps, and develop corrective action plans · Develop, maintain, and report against audit work plans based on defined scope and objectives · Prepare complete, accurate, and timely audit workpapers · Identify and recommend improvements to audit methodologies, policies, and procedures based on lessons learned · Educate employees and management on IT controls and promote an effective and efficient control environment · Participate in divisional or departmental infrastructure projects as assigned · Assist in training, mentoring, and educating IT audit staff Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field · Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of IT auditing or related experience (e.g., information security) · Strong understanding of information technology and project management principles · Professional audit certifications required (CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CGEIT, HITRUST, or equivalent) · Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to connect risks to relevant datasets · Strong experience leveraging data analytics and visualizations to support audit work · Advanced verbal communication and presentation skills, including interaction with senior leadership · Strong written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly · Intermediate problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment · Advanced conflict management and stakeholder management skills · Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project · Intermediate proficiency with audit tools such as automated workpapers, ACL, Tableau, or similar tools · Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders · Knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management, and project management techniques · High standards of ethics, independence, judgment, and discretion in alignment with IIA Standards and Code of Ethics · Ability to travel to vendor locations as needed to meet with operations and audit personnel Company DescriptionFounded in 1998 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI, Kyyba has a global presence delivering high-quality resources and top-notch recruiting services, enabling businesses to effectively respond to organizational changes and technological advances.
