Job Description Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Tool & Die Maker - CNC Operators for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX. DURATION: 6 Months BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, • 5+ years of experience in operating CNC machines (milling, turning, etc.), • 5+ years of experience in G-code programming and CNC controls, • Strong computing skills, excellent communication skills and customer-oriented, • Ability to work a variable shift (1st or 2nd), • Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set up and operate CNC milling machines., • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications., • Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures., • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency., • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment., • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments., • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes., • Maintain a clean and safe work environment., • Document production data and maintain accurate records. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Experience with CAD/CAM/CATIA software, • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs, • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination working with small parts REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited High school or GED. WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st or 2nd SHIFT. PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity.
