Job Description Service Technician The Opportunity: The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment within the manufacturing and distribution facilities while also providing repair services and technical support to customers. This role supports production and distribution efficiency by ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing system performance, and delivering exceptional customer repair and support services. The technician will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity and support customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do: Equipment Maintenance and Repair (Manufacturing & Distribution): • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing and distribution equipment, including machinery, conveyor systems, and automated systems., • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic tools to maintain operational uptime., • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, resolving product-related issues efficiently to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction., • Perform product repairs, part replacements, and system upgrades as needed for customer equipment, both on-site and in-house., • Collaborate with production, distribution, and customer service teams to implement adjustments and improvements in equipment settings to maximize productivity and efficiency., • Accurately document maintenance, repair, and inspection activities in logs for both internal and customer-facing equipment., • Track parts and tool usage, maintaining adequate inventory levels for efficient repairs across manufacturing, distribution, and customer service functions., • Provide customers with maintenance best practices, and minor troubleshooting techniques., • Build positive customer relationships, acting as a knowledgeable and reliable point of contact for all repair and technical support needs. What You’ll Need: • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals., • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role in manufacturing, distribution, or customer repair service environments., • Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical and diagnostic skills for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and accurately., • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers and collaborate with internal teams., • Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships, providing timely support and maintaining professionalism., • Experience with ERP systems for maintenance and inventory tracking., • Technical certification in relevant fields (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Automation)., • Previous experience in customer support or technical training. Working Conditions: This position requires flexibility to work in both industrial and customer-facing environments, with occasional travel to customer sites. Some overtime and weekend availability may be necessary to meet production and customer repair demands. General Hours are between the hours of 7:00 am-4:30 pm.
