Job Description Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician (Experienced) Project: mission-critical / data center / commercial development projects Job Type: Full-Time Pay: DOE (hourly) + per diem when applicable + benefits Position Summary We’re hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to support mission-critical work. This role requires 3–5 years of commercial fire alarm experience. You’ll work alongside field leadership to deliver clean, code-compliant installations and support testing/turnover in high-expectation environments. Responsibilities • Install and terminate fire alarm raceway/cabling, devices, modules, and power supplies per drawings and specs, • Perform VESDA installation and commissioning support: detector mounting, sampling pipe layout/assembly, labeling, basic verification, troubleshooting, and filter maintenance practices, • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues (ground faults, device troubles, NAC/SLC issues, power problems, intermittent faults), • Support pre-testing, point-to-point, witness testing readiness, documentation, and turnover requirements typical of data centers, • Maintain redlines/as-builts, daily reporting, and clean work areas; coordinate with other trades, • 3–5 years commercial fire alarm installation/service experience, • Ability to read drawings, follow specs, and work from BIM/layout direction, • Strong troubleshooting skills with test equipment (metering, verification, basic diagnostics), • Data center / mission-critical experience (turnover-driven environments, documentation discipline), • Texas FAL (or ability to obtain quickly), • NICET I/II/III (Fire Alarm Systems), • Experience with major platforms (Simplex/Autocall/Notifier/EST), • Competitive hourly pay (DOE), • Per diem on qualifying travel assignments, • Paid holidays + PTO, • Benefit options and training support; growth path into lead/foreman roles for top performersCompany DescriptionTrinity Fire & Technology is a privately owned, rapidly expanding life-safety and technology contractor built for mission-critical delivery—with a major focus on data centers and other high-reliability facilities across West Texas and beyond. What We Do (Our Core) Fire Alarm (Autocall platform) — new construction, tenant improvements, service, inspections, troubleshooting, and complex integration VESDA / Aspirating Detection (Xtralis) — high-sensitivity early warning detection for data halls, electrical rooms, and critical infrastructure Special Hazards & Releasing Interfaces — pre-action releasing/sequence support, shutdown logic, aborts, and testing coordination (project-dependent) Gas Detection — monitoring and integration for mission-critical environments (project-dependent) Mission-Critical Integration — shutdown sequencing (CRAH/HVAC), relays, and tie-ins to owner platforms, BMS/EPMS, and centralized monitoring (project-dependent) ERCES / BDA / DAS — in-building public safety radio coverage and compliance support Integrated Low-Voltage — CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and A/V when it supports the client’s full technology ecosystem Why High Performers Choose Trinity Data center work is different—and that’s the point.
