American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Physical Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 02/23/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Position is located in an acute care setting with responsibilities in acute inpatient, swingbed rehab, and outpatient physical therapy, • Typical daily caseload averages 10-12 patients per 8-hour shift, including primarily orthopedic, neurological, imbalance, and weakness diagnoses, • Expect 2-3 hours spent in inpatient and swingbed care daily, with the remainder in outpatient coverage, • Department operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekend or holiday shifts, • Work schedule typically consists of 5x8 hour shifts, but 4x10 shifts may be considered; shifts are scheduled by the department manager, • Cerner is currently used for documentation and is transitioning to Epic; prior Cerner experience preferred, • Main responsibilities include evaluating and providing therapy to adult patients across acute, swingbed, and outpatient settings, • Team includes a rehab aide and appointment coordinator; no PTA support, • Onboarding includes up to 2 days of orientation with a preceptor and department manager, with expectation to manage a full caseload quickly, • Closed-toe shoes required; scrubs or business casual attire accepted, • No on-call, weekends, or holidays required, • Applicants who previously worked at this facility must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to consideration, • Clocking in and out required on site, • Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, • Only candidates able to take full patient caseload by day 3 will be considered\n \n Requirements\n, • Active WI Physical Therapy license required by the start date; license required if applicable, • BLS (AHA) certification required, • Minimum 1 year of post-education experience as a PT; 3 years preferred, • Experience in an acute and/or outpatient setting required; inpatient experience strongly preferred but candidates with only outpatient experience will be considered, • Ability to handle a busy, fast-paced environment, • Prior Cerner EMR experience preferred, • Two recent professional references required, including at least one supervisor reference\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
